Application Guidelines
Please read this carefully as the way we do our funding has changed.
• We only run one funding round each financial year.
• This round will make grants from both the Miller General Impact Fund and the South Canterbury Health Endowment Fund.
• The South Canterbury Health Endowment Fund now includes additional funding thanks to the generosity of the Bidwill Trust Hospital Funding.
• You only need to make one application.
• If eligible your application will be considered firstly by the South Canterbury Health Endowment Fund, if it is not fully funded any remaining portion of your application will be considered by the Miller General Impact Fund.
• If you do not meet the South Canterbury Health Endowment criteria, your application will only be considered by the Miller General Impact Fund.
General Criteria
This funding round is not intended for:
• An individual seeking a grant
• An organisation or group operating for profit
• All our funding is for the primary benefit of the Aoraki region which is defined as the boundaries of the Waimate. Mackenzie and Timaru District Council.
• It is okay for your organisation to be based outside the Aoraki region but the services we fund must benefit the Aoraki region or the people of the Aoraki region.
• Funding applications cannot be retrospective (funds cannot be approved for expenditure that has been incurred before the application being considered).
• All approved grants will be paid by direct credit to a verified bank account.
• Grants must be used within six months of receipt of funds. If you require a longer period to use the funds you can request an extension of up to twelve months in total. Any extension is not automatic and is at the discretion of the Aoraki Foundation.
• IMPORTANT: All successful applicants must complete our accountability process which includes a report on the use of funds and potentially providing a full copy of receipts. This accountability should be provided no later than nine months from receiving funds. Failure to adhere to this requirement may require the funds to be returned and/or jeopardise future funding applications.
